I am a bit lost.

If you take a look at this site http://www.albruna.nl/xp you can see that the menu there has a simple mouse over effect.

I can't get my head around it how to get this done.

Could anyone point me towards a solution?

Regards,

Martin

Just make a rectangle with the desired bg colour and set it to 'not visible'
Then draw a hotspot and assign 'on mouse over' and 'on mouse out' actions to it.

Simply use a GfxMenu object by drawing "Standard" and "Over" states

As expected very simple?/'. Sometimes you just don?t see it anymore.

However I do have another issue with the page.

Everything moves over to the right including the menu.

If anyone can take a look and tell me why this is happenening I would greatly appreciate it. Here is the a rar file with one dhe page in it

http://www.rhizoom.info/links.rar

I am sure it has something to do with the fixed background but I am not sure how to solve it.

Maybe I didn't understand the question but have you checked the "Center Page" flag? It is actually checked.

It should be chekced otherwise the text moves over the backrgound on different screensizes. I don't understand why the text would move just because I add a GfxMenu object like you can see in the rar.

What is it that makes the texts move just because a GfxMenu object has been added to the page?

As I saw in your .rar it is the background that moves because you choosed "top" for its position.

But if I don't choose top the background image isn't placed correctly.

For instance when I choose center it aligns in the center but the top part of the background image isn't shown and when I choose default the background image is shown completely but it is aligned to the left.

How can this be so difficult?

I really need help.
