During the install of DHE, a submap is made in the map "Documents". When I change the location of the Documents map to another drive (with more space) DHE can't find some plug-ins any more. That makes sense because the path to the DHE submap changed. For that reason I un-installed DHE, cleaned my register with CCleaner en installed DHE again. But it still doesn't see that plug-ins. I then tried to update plug-ins and templates with no succes. I only get an error that the updates didn't succeed. Is there a way to let DHE point to the right path?

This is a new problem I didn't think :-(

D.H.W.E. uses the Documents path of the user to download and install additional components such as extensions. If this folder doesn't exist it creates it.

If you changed your Documents path probably D.H.W.E. will not find extensions anymore but if you remake an "Update" process all should return normal. Strange that this doesn't happen.

Are you sure that D.H.W.E. has the rights to write into the new Documents folder you created?

You can manually update D.H.W.E. additional components by moving the old "Dynamic HTML Editor" folder, under your old "My Documents" folder to the new "My Documents" location.

Let me know

Regards, Davide

I already tried to move the map manually and also checked the rights. Without any success. The only thing that helps is changing back the driveletter of the drive with My documents to the original one.

Hello Davide,

Just returned from a short holiday.

No the problem isn't solved.
I have an external HD with drive-letter G:
In Windows 7 I changed the location of the folder My Documents to this drive. So this became G:\My Documents.
I installed DHE without any problem.
Because of some problems with drive-letters when I also inserted a USB stick I changed the drive-letter of the external drive to Z: Windows asked if the paths should be changed to, which I confirmed. At that point DHE got confused.
Changing the drive-letter back to G: solved the problem of DHE. But I would still change G: to Z: if possible.

I think you should:

1- temporary change the path of "My Documents" on your c: disk
2- change the drive letter from g: to z:
3- change the path of the "My documents" to z:
