I know how to make a rectangle in the web 2.0 style

But I was wondering if this effect can also be applied to text?

Sure...

What I mean is the two colours effect like in the word Stock Flash.
I know how to archieve it in programs like photopaint but I'm wondering if it can be done in DHE as well.

Yes, as far as I know.

Use a graphic label, and apply a linear fill to it.

I have made this stencil

to get this result

In the graphical canvas you make your text in the darker color. I used a linear fill for this. Copy this label and paste it in place (CTRL_P, this stacks one label on the other). Change its color in an other one (the light one). On this copy you apply the stencil.

Be sure to do this in the graphical canvas. This gives a smoother result.

Oke I'm gonna give it a try.

Seems logical, I just didn't think of making it out of two images.
