Hallo Davide,

Because of some CSS & (X)HTML I want to add doctype ""http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40/loose.dtd" to "<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">. can I add this to my pages that it automatically generate "<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40/loose.dtd">
or do I have to add it manually ?

Thanks
Black

Manually.I'm not so sure it will validate correctly. What is your purpose of doing this?

Hallo jtarin,

I want to use drop-down cascading validating menu and without this validation it won't work with IE 6 (have no idea with IE7).

I haven't tried this but this link might provide you with some hints for a workaround.
