Hello Davide,

can you give us a qlue if there's going to be some sort of CMS function in DHE? If not, I'll have to go and look for an outside cms solution.

Even if Davide's program doesn't have it, you can always go to http://www.snippetmaster.com/index.php and use their great program to allow clients to edit parts of the website. It is easy to set up and will work fine with David's program. Snippitmaster uses html comments to specify editable content. If you know how to add an html comment in David's program - you know how to implement snippitmaster!

@toon,

Dynamic HTML Editor is a WEB interface editor; a CMS system requires server side components that actually are not included in this program. As other say you can always embed external solutions into your D.H.E. projects ;-)

Oke, I understand.

Have you given some thought to my earlier suggestion about being able to insert code into dhe (textbox or htmlbox) so you can easily use an external cms?

Impressive but isn't editwrx a bit too much?

I mean, I want to design and build the pages in DHE so the only the cms has to do is to be able to change te text.

With editwrx you can change everything, you can even make your pages with it.

Two MAJOR drawbacks I found with EditWrX that I did not find with Snippet master.
1. EditWRX pages WILL NOT VALIDATE. This is becoming more of a problem if you make a living with websites. Clients want that validation.
2. EditWRX MUST use internet explorer.
Plus for small projects SnippetMaster is free.

Have you tried opensource Doop..? It's very versatile and configurable.

You would make your page layouts and content in DHE and use Doop to manage the links and menus.

Good Luck!

I took a look at Doop and frankly, I didn't think it was all that easy and I have been around the block a few times as far as internet programming goes.

And besides that, I want to change the content not the links and menu's.
