When I draw a RSS-object in the editor, the program shuts down. Does anyone have any idea why? I run DHTML-editor 5.7.19 on Windows 7 Pro 64-bit with Mozilla Firefox as standard browser.

Regards, Zumzum

zum,

some suggestions:
1- completely unistall the program
2- clean the registry
3- install it again (the latest version)
4- turn temporary off your firewall/antivirus/antispyware
5- run the program

I installed the upgrade, but now it hangs and windows is trying to fix it by running it in compatibility mode. Still hangs, though. Any suggestions to adjustments I can try?

Windows 7 problems should be fixed now; thank you Petran.

I did not reinstall windows because of anything to do with dhe or the rss object--I just do a clean install every 6 months or so--just a coincidence it was now time

I have a suspect because I have already had this type of problem with other software; this seems not to be a bug in the software; I sent a test version to Petran.

Why? Very strange!
joneq Posted - 29 Oct 2010 : 05:10:08
I had to reinstall win 7 ult 64 and rss object works fine now
joneq Posted - 29 Oct 2010 : 02:06:35
it does not happen to me in safe mode.i mean rss object works.

I have the same problem as Andy as well, as long as there is a DHEFile-element on the master page. When I remove the DHEFile, I can get into the custom properties without crashing the program.
Andy Posted - 28 Oct 2010 : 18:04:18
Hi, think im getting the same. I am unable to get at masterpage custom properties. Everytime I try the prog just crashes. Was OK in previous version. I use Win 7 64.

I can't try it now but I wonder if it works for zumzum in safe mode--to eliminate software conflict.

Is it possible that the bug is related to the language settings of windows and DHTML? I run norwegian Win 7 and english DHTML...

I tested this problem in 2 Windows 7 64 computers and no problems :-(
joneq Posted - 27 Oct 2010 : 17:57:54
a little late, but mine was just an object not part of a project, but it also does not work as part of a project--I am using just the trial.

I'll contact you via email
petran Posted - 27 Oct 2010 : 11:19:37
Sure, no problem
s.dav Posted - 27 Oct 2010 : 11:03:12
We need to make a sort of debug version because here I'm not able to reproduce the problem... all is working perfectly :-(
Petran, would you help me?
petran Posted - 27 Oct 2010 : 10:23:23
Same problem here
zumzum Posted - 27 Oct 2010 : 09:28:41
My page is part of a project, but I also tried it on a blank page with the same result. It happens every time. There is no messages from neither DHTML nor Windows, it simply terminates quick and silent.

Regards, zumzum

John,

is the program crashing every time you draw a new RSS object on the page? is this page part of a project? is this page blank?
s.dav Posted - 27 Oct 2010 : 08:49:32
Under XP and Vista the program is working well here; I have to test on Win7
joneq Posted - 26 Oct 2010 : 23:11:35
