I had posted this earlier today but my post seems to have gone missing[2 H:...(].

So I'll repost this again.

In the Options menu of DHE, under Tools, on the tab Unicode I see the options:
Generate UTF8 files when needed
and
Force UTF8 encoding when needed

What exactly does the use of utf8 do as to the more usual use of iso-8859-1?

I ask this because the cms that I use seems to have problems with the by DHE generated pages that contain the utf8 charset.

If one looks at the source of this page

which DHE gave a utf8 charset

the only main difference with a page like this

which DHE gave the more commonly used charset iso-8859-1
are the mouse over effects.

So why does DHE generate for the one page the utf8 charset and for the other the iso-8859-1 charset?

What's the difference?

Martin
