I got an assignment for an investment site.
The only restriction I got was that it had to be green. Well green it is. But I do not like it and I do not know why. Is it so that green doesn't look that fresh on a screen as it does on trees[2 ?:-|]
Well have a look (it is still only in the rough template format, I will go ahead with the full site as soon as I got the job). Please do not spare me with your critics, they help me a lot as I am a starter in this business.

Instead of pointing out what might be wrong with the site I would suggest looking at some template sites and see what it is that makes some of these templates beautifull in your eyes. That way you can get a feel for what looks good and what not.

Anyway it's all a learning process so these things take time.

Soem remarks just to get you on the way:
I would get rid of the lose buttons and make a decent menu.
You might want to devide the pages up in smaller sections instead of one text section. Add something like a section for news, a section with the actual text, a section with some examples of the work they have done or a few high profile lines of text what it is they do.

I have updated the site with different drafts. My personal favourite is temp3. Please look only at the background temp, cause text and pictures are not optimal at all yet.

It's a new day.

Now the shadow of buttons menu is ok.

When the button menu is selected the text of button change size (view "phylosophy")and the text is out of focus (delete soften or blur effect for my opinion)

Set the text rectangle overflow=auto to delete the oriz. scroll bar on page http://www.merifin.com/draft2/temp2.htm# ;-)
