I am using the trial edition of 3x. When I change the links on a template and save it, the changes are not there when I publish it. The old links are still there. Is this happening because it is a trial version? Any help would be appreciated.
You wil have to update the template in your pages. Select the template in you pages, you will see on the right a option update (i believe, can't check-it, am not sitting behind the computer with DHE). If everything as gone right you will see the changes in your pages.
