I would like to be able to select just certain interfaces in Performance Monitor instead of just a single one or all of them combined. On Windows 7 alone there are a few virtual interfaces that mess with the bandwidth total, plus after you add in stuff like Virtualbox and Hamachi, you have all sorts of mirrored traffic going on. This isn't an issue on a desktop because you can just select the ethernet interface, but on a laptop you have wifi in addition to ethernet, and sometimes even a cellular WWAN connection.
