There is only one problem I keep having when using DHE web editor.
This is when I try to use the Custom Code tab the program seems to lock up and will not return to normal unless I shut it down and turn it back on again. I have the latest version of DHE and I use Windows 7 and its pretty much updated. Other than this every aspect of the program seems to work very well.

Shadowchaser,

but is the problem happening in every object when you press the Custom Code button?

Try to make a new empty file, add an object and press the Custom Code button, let me know.

Regards, Davide

Hello David, and thanks for the fast reply.
First I should say this problem happens only with the Custom Code Tab on the Properties panel and no problem with the Lowest Custom Tab that appears on my version at the bottom always.

I just completed a fair bit of testing and here is what happens:
I did 5 separate test and each one had its one new page and just one item on each page. I tried one with just a simple rounded shape on it and clicked on Custom Code in the Properties panel and as usual the screen turns mostly white. No totally, I can still see the DHE web editor but it freezes and the only option that works is to restart it.
There are actually 2 different things offered in the Custom Code area and one of them shows whats there. In my case so far it just says "Nothing", clicking that doesn't cause any problems, but clicking the far right Tab does.
I also tried putting in one of the newer Graphical Menu Buttons and after clicking the Custom Code button the same thing happens. I also tried just putting an empty HTML code box on an otherwise empty page and I get the same results.
Beyond all of this I tried Microsoft compatibility settings several times. Going back to XP does cause the White out look to stop but then a screen comes up saying I must restart the program.

I have copied the following information from the report the Microsoft Compatibility offered, as you will see it mentions a crash, but I'm not familiar with it.

Do you have a program called StackHash in your Windows installations? This seems to be the cause.

Try this solution that I found on the internet:

Open the Start menu and choose Control Panel
Browse for maintenance of the system, system
In the left pane, select Advanced System Settings from the link available
You should now see the System Properties Window, which will have three sections. the part
superior performance is labeled and has a Settings button. Click this
button.
Select the Data Execution Prevention loss.
Select the option that says Turn on DEP for all
programs and services except those I select.
Use the Browse button to locate the executable file for the application
you were trying to start (DHWE.exe) when you received the error
StackHash, and do clicOpen to add it to your list of exceptions.
Click Apply or OK to confirm the changes.
