Hi,
Placed several different .flv files onto my page for testing purposes, but invariably got the error message "There was a problem loading your movie. Please try again later." Is any additional code necessary for this? Could someone help, please? |

Hi, petran:
Thanks for your help. I know, already have and use this extension. However, even by using it to ease my work, I get the same problem. Could you please post here all the parameters that should go into its proprieties in DHE related panel? The problem does not occur when using a local .flv file. Also, may this be occurring on account of the fact that my using a Flash movie (.swf) as fixed html page animated background? I myself don't think this is the problem though.
Regards. |

I don't get is . I made a little test with the plugin here:
http://www.rdbf.nl/test/flv/
Everything is working fine.
When you want to take a look at the parameters just open the plugin with Tools -> Extension builder. This can be found in the DHE menu. |

I guess you didn't understand me right. The problem occurs when the .flv file is streamed FROM youtube.com, but it does NOT when it's uploaded to my server and streamed from there or loaded from a local folder. Have you tried to use the extension this way? Try creating this page and specify as the .flv file, say, this file FROM youtube.com: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6OSKoOJbbI&feature=player_embedded
Thanks. |

I didn't use the extension that way. It is not what I had in mind when making it. By the way, Youtube doesn't allow to stream video from their site on any other way then by using their site and videoplayer. You're risking your IP will be banned. |

Hi, Petran
Thanks for your attention. So this means, if possible or once implemented, I couldn't use any given .flv movie as HTML page background? Alo, how about using videolightBox.com ? As far as I know, with it the user can hide the player controls, use stylish video frames etc...
Regards. |

You can use FLV as much as you like by streaming them from your own server. Youtube doesn?t want you to use theirs that way. You are free to download a FLV file from Youtube and place it on your server. (As long as your not violating copyrights off course.) |
