Hello!

Since I installed HexUniControls my Program "Freescale Codewarrior 6.3" will not start any more. It says "unknow software exception in 0x2034124.." and aborts, it is serios windows error message.

When I unistall the HexUniControls the problem is still existent. The problem is reproducable on a new installed WinXP SP3 with only "Freescale Codewarrior 6.3" on it and seems not to be influenced by other programs.

I want to know what the HexUniControl - Installation changes on my WinXP? I created a log file during installation ("HexUniControlsTrial.exe" /LOG="C:\log.txt") but the dlls are not overwritten and all the installed files in C:\program files are deleted after uninstall.

Does anyone know what system changes are done by the HexUniControls-Setup??

Thanks in advance,
Daniel

OK, I solved the problem. Hexagora Unicode Controls saves in C:\Windows the file "hexuni2x.lic" which has a change-date from 1615!!! This file is not deleted after uninstall and cannot be seen in the log file of the setup. On startup of my Codewarrior C:\Windows is searched for some files and it crashes when it reads that file with a corrupt change-date.

Why do you save a license file with a corrupt change date??????????? Please fix that problem in the next release!!!

Bye,
Daniel

I think that the problem is your Codewarrior (that crashes) not my program ;-)

You're right, but why does your license file has an incorrect change-date? You can't imagine how long I was searching to find THAT problem (>2days )
