How do I remove that annoying "positioning type" message everytime I go to a page with graphics on it? |

Everytime I go to the Masterpage, then go to another page, I get the following message:
"The positioning type (A/R)for new objects has been changed to reflect the type used in this page".
First of all, I always use "A", and second of all, I haven't a clue what the error message is referring to. |

That message only appears when the program automatically changes the "Positioning Type" because a page uses all objects in absolute or relative mode and you are actually using another type of Positioning.
If this message appears when you switch two pages you are using objects in Relative and Absolute mode.
I suggest you to enable the "P" button (on the top toolbar) and check for relative and absolute objects. |

Everything was absolute except for the Masterpage place holder. I set it to absolute, but I'm afraid that it won't expand to fit different length pages as absolute. Can you clarify this for me?
Also, is this new with the latest version? I don't remember ever having this message before, and don't remember what the placeholder was set to. |

That message is not new, it is present since version 4.0.
>length pages as absolute. Can you clarify this for me? Strange, probably it depends on your page; if you want send me the master and the client page and I'll check the problem.

Ok now I understand; yours was a question. Yes, the placeholder adapts itself to the contained page size without watching the positioning type ;-)
Let me know for any problem |
