Hi friends,
You can create line spacing that is adjustable by 1-point increments (or 2-point or more). Then, you can add as many 1-point increments (additions) as you wish between the two lines. You can also create adjustable spacing from the top of a text box down to the first text line. I have found that the easiest way is as follows.
To enable adjustable space between any line and the line below it: 1) Put any desired indent at the beginning of the second line before doing any of the following steps. 2) Place your cursor at the end of the first line and press "Enter" to create a full line-space between the two lines. 3) Click your cursor after the end of the first line to park the cursor-marker there. 4) Place your mouse cursor behind the cursor-marker at the end of the line, hold the left button down and move the cursor down to the left edge of the text box, in front of the second line, and release the mouse button. 5) Put your cursor inside the font-size box and type a "1" to replace the font-size that is there. Then press "Enter" to install the new font-size for the space between the two lines (instead of the font-size you have been using for each line). (See the ADDITION at the bottom.) 6) A 1-point space immediately appears between the lines instead of the previous full-space (which was the size of the font you are using). The cursor between the two lines becomes 1-point tall, a tiny dot. 7) Anytime you wish to increase or decrease the new spacing, use an up or down arrow or your mouse to go to the 1-point cursor-marker, and press "Enter" one or more times to add one or more 1-point increments to the spacing, or press "Delete" to decrease the spacing. 8) To adjust the spacing from the top of the text box down to the first line, create one or more spaces between the top of the box and your first line, click your cursor at the top of the text box, and then use your cursor as explained in "3)" above.
ADDITION (revised Nov.1/09): Explorer shows the 1-pt. line-spacing exactly as in DHE. However, some other browsers add a little more than 1-pt. vertical space to each increment. Therefore, if you are using SEVERAL 1-pt. spaces between two lines, it is better to use only one 3, 9 or 31-pt. space instead. In this way, your line-spacing will look almost the same in all browsers as it looks in DHE.
You can see adjustable spacing used throughout my principal website www.Funerals-Ripoffs.org - for example, in the "List of Topics". (Currently, more than 3,000 persons visit the site each month.)
I figured this out last year but just now noticed anima3's request of last January/09 in the Wish List. I hope my amateur explanation is understandable.
