I never download anything without reading the reviews first, and if there is "any" chance there is spyware or anything else involved someone [who lives and loves to find problems with any giveawayoftheday] will have found it--I can then make an educated decision on what to do...
Besides nod32 AV I have comodo firewall and spywareblaster + spywareguard +asquared free or pro [my choice--pro is a little intrusive so mostly I use free]
whenever I scan I have very little of anything found--mostly harmless tracking cookies and stuff I approved like BHO's
There are no conflicks with all of this running.nor does it slow me down, and I have never had a virus in 8 yrs---knock wood!!!!!
Mcaffee may be my least trusted security product, but that may be because it was such crap when I first started--It is probably better now, but I will stick with what I have...
Mcaffee is not the only one that finds things, but they are rarely anything to worry about imo.
That does not mean you don't have to be alert and check..
I'm only informing you about what my anti-anything program says. Here's a link, maybe you can follow it and judge for yourself. That's all I wanted to share.
