Some days ago i've installed a "tell-a-friend" button on my page (http://tellafriend.socialtwist.com/index.jsp) and after copying the code i saw that it works well also in Explorer and Firefox in the preview. But the uploaded version does not contain the button in IE. (yeah, i know that firefox is much better... ) What went wrong? Thanks from an anti-programmer |

The url in the code shows an image, but you have a pop-up of Gates (news) that has no allowable way to close, its impossible to see the image on the page with that in the way. (IE-7) Now I can see it when navigating to the page the second time...no Gates! [2 H:)] |

Your site looks OK in IE& and Mozilla ("tell-a-friend" site) no pop-up blocking the view. I have not re-set anything in my browsers, so you must have made a change. The second site looks fine, however sometimes I can be highly critical of graphical elements and the frames for the 3 pictures I would re-orientate them to be square-on to the viewer and re-crop them more selectively. Notice the shadows on the interiors of the frames? It's coming from 2 different directions. Perhaps move the "Bookmark" & "Print" buttons to the top. Why did they not just select the name "BudapestApartment" instead of "BudapestApartman"? |

thanks a lot!!! you have just made me calm with your answer... i hope that the most users work with ie8 - without problems... now i'm trying to upgrade to this version for the fifth time, it's getting to be a little bit boring...[2 77:H]
anyway: you must be a very precise man! you are right, the lights come from two different places... i have just found that picture of the frame somewhere and after rotating to the right posititon... you know. is it disturbing really?
about the name... when we (me and my wife) started this small business it did not seem to be an "international project" but the things changed and since then we receive guests from every corner of the world, but in the beginning we have choosen the name "apartman" which is a hungarian word for apartment - so that is the true story... and now it is too late to change the name after registering to hundreds of databases and working thousands of nights.
thanks again for your help and reflections, i need them everytime...

Probably not to the casual visitor...my business involves a lot of graphic work so I am more critical than average. |
