I am quite new to the Dynamic HTML Editor, - just downloaded it yesterday. My problem is publishing video on my website. I have been using the "Multimedia File" button and link that to an "avi" and a "mpeg2" file. The problem is play the file using Opera 9.24 or IE 6.0. When I click "play" on the button, nothing happens. I also tried publishing it as a "Real" film, and that works in IE 6.0 but not in Opera. Any idea what I am doing wrong?

Hi Ter'
Maybe you file is big (> 5-10 MB), then the movie is trying to start. I suggest to convert to FLV (Flash) and then put on your web site
If the problem is with Browser compatibility try first, the convertion then drop a line to this forum a comment.
Best regards!

When playing a video on browsers you should be sure to have installed required plugins in order to play this video. So if Opera doesn't work check on the Opera site video plugins. |

Thanks for the suggestions! It seems that I have now solved the problem. Had to "enlarge" the box that was created for the player button in the D HTML editor so that the size of the film fitted, - if you understand what I mean. Being new to this makes you ask unnecessary questions... I may come back with more unnecessary questions later...

Which reminds me of a sound issue. I can put the sound widget on a page and it works fine in IE but not Firefox. But I get sound to play fine in firefox all the time and use firefox as default browser. Why doesn't the sound widget work in firefox? |

Uhmm, maybe the code that I use to play sounds is quite different from the code used from other sites; Have you tried to play the sound in FF using the MultiMedia object instead of the Audio object? If you want send me a link where an Audio file works in FF so I'll watch for the code used tro do this but in my FF everything works good ;-) |
