Posted - 11 Nov 2006 : 11:49:14 Hi everyone,
Is there any choice to display or not the Meta tag "generator" ? Is there any way not to have the first 4 letters 'ldhe' in all the 'div' tags ? (for example <div id="ldheflag_us"...>)
I like the software and I would be ready to display an icon on my index page linking to Hexagora instead of having things in the code.
Thank you. Barry |

This is a good news but don't get me wrong I'm ready to write reviews or even put a link icon, just that I think users should have the choice (of course when they've paid !)
Yes, they have tried the software and paid for the one they have tried. Every program places a Meta Generator tag (Frontpage also and there isn't an option to avoid this). The price of the product is calculated basing on this point also ;-) There is a clean point in the license.txt for this topic. But if you have an option to avoid this (using the program) you don't violate the license.

NO don't change the prefix, your explanation shows that it is not a spam but a necessity. So it's very clear and for me it's all right...
;-) this is no spam ;-)

Yes I've tried that but the meta tag added was not following the others. There is some Javascript code in between. Can you please view the source of the page below and try to see where the meta tag (<META HTTP-EQUIV="IMAGETOOLBAR" CONTENT="FALSE">) appears. http://www.easyningbo.com/helloningbo-index.html (I added it in the "Header Code" and I would find it more clean if it came after the meta "copyright" not after the javascript lines)
There are no problems if the meta tag is in the header section.

Posted - 14 Nov 2006 : 07:14:01 Hi Davide !
Thank's for your help !
1- In the registered version you can avoid the "Meta Generator" tag. This is a good news but don't get me wrong I'm ready to write reviews or even put a link icon, just that I think users should have the choice (of course when they've paid !)
2- the "ldhe" prefix serves me to avoid id conflicts between the real object and the container DIV which serves to position this object.....I can change the prefix but I need a prefix. NO don't change the prefix, your explanation shows that it is not a spam but a necessity. So it's very clear and for me it's all right...
3- Meta Tags go in the HEADER section of an HTML page so you can place the code you need in the "Header Code" section of you page specifying additional tags.
4- There is already an option to associate an icon to a page; I can add another option to avoid this. No I was not asking about that. Don't change anything here. I was just explaining the use of the meta tag "imagetoolbar"
Thank you. Barry. |

Posted - 13 Nov 2006 : 09:08:50 Hello Barry,
1- In the registered version you can avoid the "Meta Generator" tag. This is not an option but there is another way ;-) 2- the "ldhe" prefix serves me to avoid id conflicts between the real object and the container DIV which serves to position this object. If you create a page with only relative objects you'll see NO "ldhe" because there are no container Divs. I can change the prefix but I need a prefix. 3- Meta Tags go in the HEADER section of an HTML page so you can place the code you need in the "Header Code" section of you page specifying additional tags. 4- There is already an option to associate an icon to a page; I can add another option to avoid this. |

Yes I agree with you. Usually softwares have a checkbox to enable or disable the meta "Generator" unless it's a freeware.
I also realized that it is not possible to add another meta tag at the end of the list (after the meta name="COPYRIGHT"). Because if we double click on the background and get the page properties, go to scripts/events tab, we have "Page Top Code" which is too high, then "Header Code" which is too low (after Javascript) so that a new meta tag needs also to be added manually.
Of course, everything is possible manually but the problem with these kind of corrections is that the source remains unchanged...
I would like, for example, to add this meta tag: <meta http-equiv="imagetoolbar" content="false"> which avoids to have the boring icon coming when mouse over images when using IE. Like the meta Generator, some editors usually propose a checkbox (enable/disable) for the meta "toolbar".
Could be nice to have these two checkboxes in a future release...
I don't know if I will have the chance that DHE Master Davide read this post (?) [3 ~-)]

Posted - 11 Nov 2006 : 13:29:45 Hi Barry Should be, "is not" is ;-) The trial is a full working version! The metagen's are for the I-robots > edit by hand select and DEL, I suppose! As 4 the div thing, ask > DHE Master Davide ;-) But I agree that it should be a customers choice > preferences > check box, or something like that! (except for the light, free version, of course)

Posted - 11 Nov 2006 : 12:45:34 Thanks Waldorf but if the answer should be "yes", do you have any idea on how to : - not display the generator meta tag - not display the "ldhe" preceding the div tags
Maybe I cannot act on this because I'm using the trial version ?
Thanks Barry |
