Hello,

I'm making a site in which I want to use a flash menu. The preview in IE and FF are allright, but when I publish it the menu is only visible in FF. Take a look at it here: www.rdbf.nl/riverclack
(links aren't working yet)

I hope anyone got the solution

Hello Edigital,

I've downloaded the script you mentioned, but with 123 Menu it still doesn't work like it should be. I think it has something to do with the swf file that is made by 123. However the good news is that another menu builder; Flashation, works perfect with swfobject.js[2 H:)].

thanks for your help

Hi, Petran

You can get un update version for the javascript who handles the 123 Flash Menu Object at :

http://blog.deconcept.com/swfobject/ (1.4 version)

Just rename the file : swfobject.js TO flashobject.js
and include that file in your project.

See in action (with different browsers) at:

www.callehost.com/test/newfile1.htm

And a nice feature of this menu: you don't need to "accept in order to use" that control..

Best regards!

@Waldorf; thats why I wanted to try a flash menu, totally idiot proof. Perfect for a idiot like me.

Every one else; it seems to work right now althought Opera freezes indeed after some mouse movements.

Wouldn't it be a real challenge for you, Davide to write FDE [3 ~-)]

Hello Edigital,

I already tried the way you described, did it again to outrule any mistakes, but noting works.
In FF everything is ok, in IE the menu stays invisible. Even tried it on different remote servers beside the localhost but NADA.
on www.rdbf.nl/test you can see (in FF) one menu on the left and one in the centre. The left one is made with the code, the other one is a plain swf file. In IE you see only the text "...placeholder..." and for the swf file the marque with the text "click to....".

Viva Microsoft

I mailed to Dreamingsoft, maybe they have got an answer.

thanks anyway, please let me know if you've got any ideas

Hi petran

I think, I found the solution.

Note: Don't use DHE flash object to include your menu.

Steps

A. Create and save your menu with 123 flash menu
B. publish with 123 Flash option: there is 2 code you must copy

1. In publish option copy the code from SCRIPT tab (flash HTML) to an HTML area in DHE Editor
2. In publish option copy the code from SCRIPT tab (function script) to DHE -> Main page Settings -> Script/Events --> Header code.

Note : You can access "Main page settings" by double click on page or using "propierties" on menu

[2 b7][2 b7][2 b7]

C. Don't forget to copy the ".swf" file to root directory on your published project

Best regards!

So, I think I have to learn Flash then, Dr. Waldorf Einstein.

Still I think it's strange because 123 menu makes a swf file which I place in a generic flash object whitin DHE. So why can I see it local, but not online [2 ??:-|] ?

It's just weired
s.dav Posted - 27 Oct 2006 : 08:47:14
I see this menu ;-) Nice!

123 DinkytoyFlash for kids
That's why the script is corrupted and so weired [2 (==)]

I use:
Mac/Media Flash-Mx Pro!
But that's for: E=MC?[3 OO-7OO][3 0-70][3 OO-7OO]

This (menu/knob) works even in Poepystan, with the Challeph'browser! [2 H:)]
