Hi,

Trying to make a little footer (an image bar with company address below it), I am using DHE 3.1, I have been reading the help file and I know that it must be set to Relative, but the image bar just stays in the same place.

I also know this can be done by making a new DHE file and making it the footer for every page, but do I have to do it this way?

thanks

Mike

What do you intend with "stick" to the edge of the screen?
When you import a .dhe file it stays exactly as its internal objects are. So if you position the internal objects of the file "menu.dhe" in the left and you import that file the menu will stay on the left.

The only exception is the footer that is positioned by the project export window at the bottom of the page (calculating the max height of every page)

Guess this isn't completly about a footer any more, but is it possible to have the header/footer "stick" to the edge screen, like it does at this site: http://www.impgroup.com/commercial/medical.htm

thanks Davide, I will keep that in mind.

Arov,

I am working on replacing the site besbiz.eu.com

If your site has made by only absolute objects you can create your footer using absolute objects. If your site uses relative objects I suggest you to use your footer using relative objects.

ignore the last post, i figured it out, but still unsure about the Relative and Absolute.

Also, In the Export Project, Advanced Options tab, I am having trouble selecting my "footer.dhe" file I created, it is only giving me choices of ones that start with "Sample".

What am I doing wrong ?

Davide,

Does it matter if my footer objects are Absolute or Relative when doing it as a separate file ?

Thanks

Mike

Hello Harto,
- you have to create a separate file
- put your footer objects into it
- check "don't export this page" in the page properties
- save the file

When you export the project you have to choose "Use a common footer for the project" and choose the just created file
