Posted - 27 Jan 2006 : 21:51:46 I have noticed as of late that when working on a page my included Dynamic HTML Editor file will lose its "Objects Prefix" when I attempt to re-introduce the file into my page. A dialogue will come up telling me I have to name it before I can insert it. I have already named it,saved it, used it on many pages and uploaded it before this incidence...its an include on all my pages. Why is it losing the name? |

From version 2.3 Dynamic HTML Editor requires that all inserted Dynamic HTML Editor File Objects have the "Objects Prefix" property setted when before inserting the file into the current page. If you have a very old file probably you can experience problems. Try to give to the included page the property and let me know if the problem persists.
You might be right Davide, but I wouldn't have thought that the date of the file would have an effect on the usage...now the original file date was 11/30/06, but it has been edited and saved more than a few times with at least 2 different versions. I'll keep a closer eye on it and see what happens...now with this newest version (2.8) I haven't installed it yet, but will shortly. |

Posted - 05 Feb 2006 : 01:19:06 OK...it happened again last night.....I have a template that I use for my pages....it is a Dynamic HTML Editor include file saved with an object prefix name. I bring up one of my pages in Dynamic HTML Editor to edit. Before I can edit the content I have to delete the template from within the open Dynamic HTML Editor file. I edit my my file go to the Tools menu and choose "Insert Dynamic HTML Editor File Object " and the dialogue comes up telling me a have to give it an objects prefix name before I can include it, then I rename it as I have no choice and then it ask if I want to update all the objects on this page. This template I have used over and over in the same procedure on all my pages with an objects prefix name. Sometimes it does this, very seldom, but most imes it behaves quite normally. It is not any particular page that this happens to either.I would have assumed the file had an objects prefix when I opened it up or it would not have been included.[2 ?:-|] |

Posted - 31 Jan 2006 : 08:10:59 I just re-installed windows due to some unrecoverable errors...if i encounter the problem again with this install I'll let you know here. All my Dynamic HTML Editor files were backed-up, so I'm using the same ones with the same build of the editor. |
