Posted - 03 Dec 2005 : 18:47:23 Can anybody help me here?
When I publish my site, the links to pages don't work, because the path is shown as the path to files on my computer. I always have to go and change these afterwards which is time consuming. Also, it means that whenever I make slight changes to my index.html file or others , I have to do this all over again. What is the trick to get the path to transfer as ../htdocs/filename where /htdocs/ is the root of my hosting website?
Thanks for any offers of help. Talat |

Posted - 13 Dec 2005 : 20:46:16 Hello Davide, thanks for this great program. All the time I'm waiting for new versions. The 2.7 seems to be with many added functions. :-) Question: Same as Talat it would be very good to include directories. I have a site with several subdirectories in which were different .htaccess files. By the way I must create each file for every subdirectory and can not use the project tool. You could make me (and T think not only Talat happy) f you can implement this functions.

Posted - 13 Dec 2005 : 15:23:41 Hello Talat,
Actually The project manager represents only a list of your WEB site. There is no the ability to add subdirectories; all project files will be exported in the same directory. The "Add directory..." servers only for adding all .dhe files contained in a directory without having to select them one by one.
I'm testing version 2.7 with many (and big) new features trying to find many bugs as possible :-) Try to go to the "What's New?" of Dynamic HTML Editor for seeing the new features ;-) |

Posted - 12 Dec 2005 : 16:28:52 Sorry Davide, I still need more help on this. I tried linking files to files in the project. But how do you add folders containing files needed to the project directory? There is a 'Add directory to the project' option but it seems to do nothing. I have some html files created outsied the Dynamic HTML Editor project which I want to link in.(They are from thumbHtml program). Is there a fuller explanation of what Project directory means, and a how one ensures that the linking of all the necessary files for the project is achieved?
Thanks.
Talat.
PS. Any date projectiosn as to when the next update to Dynamic HTML Editor will be available? |

Maybe this is not the reply you want so explain me the problem better because I make no changes to any files created with Dynamic HTML Editor ;-)
Thanks Davide. Your explanations are perfect. I just hadn't noticed the link Manager, and I have not been using the Project manager correctly. I have been linking files to 'files on my computer' instead of files in the project. Thanks again.
