they make the image file size HUGE! I just performed some effects on an image that started out at 24k. When I was done applying a few effects to it, the file size went up to 193K!!![2 H:...(]

I love the effects in Dynamic HTML Editor, but for all practical purposes, they are too costly to use.

Anyone know of a graphics editor whose effects don't substantially increase the image file size?

I tried exporting it as normal jpeg, and it worked! (I hadn't even noticed that feature until you mentioned it). The file image size actually came out *smaller* after applying some effects. Thank you Davide! I guess it was the fact that when I was applying the effects before, it was converting the file from jpeg to png that caused the huge increase in size.

??? Are you sure?

Effects change only the colors of an image not the size!

Maybe the compression is less because you have applied some effects that diffuse the colors...

You can apply your effects and then choose the export type to JPEG.
