Posted - 24 Apr 2005 : 10:09:26 Is there any way to easily share styles within a project - so a style list is available to all files in the project? I know I could define my own styles using the header code editor or embed an external style sheet, but then these styles are not available through the Dynamic HTML Editor style editor / selector which is a bit pointless unless I need access to my styles within some custom HTML code. Surely, once you have defined a start page, it should be possible to create styles in that start page which are then available to all files in the project, all sharing the same extarnal style sheet? That would make sense to me. Let me know if I have missed a trick and there really is an easy way. Cheers Julian |

Posted - 26 Apr 2005 : 12:10:44 OK - I see how to do it now. I create a dhe file containing all the styles I want to use in my project (call it styles.dhe for example), then include this as a dhe file object in each of my project pages. Voila. From reading other posts, it is necessary to refresh the dhe file object in pages which include it if I later make changes in my styles (in styles.dhe). But how do you easily refresh a dhe file object which cannot be seen (it only has styles in it!)? It is possible to search through the object list, but the easy answer is to add an empty layer 10x10 pixels to styles.dhe. This can then be selected by mouse in pages which include it.
