Hallo together,
I have a big problem, I try to make a web-page with 4 sub-pages but i really don't understand the concept with the links.
I create a master page (as in business3.dhet) and I create 3 subpages too. They where linked to the master (about-us / services / home) and when I edit the master I see a red ARROW in the right upper corner, so I think that is the sign for a link but where can I find this link? Not in the settings, adittional to that, where is the LINK WIZARD, I see him in the help-file, but not in the programm...
The question is, how can I link a text/button/grafik to a second page (as it was done in the business3.dhet)

Yes but only 1 placeholder ;-)

False, the master-page is ignored because it is a container and not useful by itself; it is ignored because it is in the "shared" folder

No because the master-page is exported as a container for the pages of your site that use the master-page ;-)
So you need to re-export the pages that use the master-page

for the master-page usage please check the program help:
- the master page is a container for your pages so in it you have to define a place in which other pages will be put (page placeholder)
- in each "client page" assign the master-page for using it
- link only to client pages

Okay, now the problem is solved (the placeholderpage was deleted, but I don't know how/why).
No I can export the project. And only one problem is there.
I can't change the master-page, if I do that and try to export the project (all files) again) I only get the message 'Page ignored!' - all other pages are okay. But there is no information why the master-page isn't exportet - is it possible that doesn't work with the trial-version? If this will work, I would buy the full version, but without...

Anyway, is there a simple example (which?) where I can see the usage?
I've created a new project. In that, I've created a index.dhe (only with the text 'Welcome on page...') then I've created (in shared) a master.dhe with a layout and 5 buttons on it and then I've created 2 pages (impressum + contact) in the OTHER-Folder.
In these two pages and in the index-page, I 'link' in the field 'master-page' to the master-page.
But this doesn't work, if I will export the whole project, in the index-page there will come the error 'a master-page must have only on object as a placeholder' ?!? - I don't understand the problem.

Hm, yes - I have some problems to understand the usage ;)
But if I look in business3 there is a really complex page WITH links in it (on the left site ABOUT US/SERVICES) used as master-page. Is that a 'not so good' example?
I understand it in the following way, I create a master-page (standard-layout + navigation-buttons for the whole web-site) and I call this page from all content-pages (only this content will be included in a special area in the master-page)
So I have an eaqual design in all pages and I only have to change the content-pages, when something must be changed. The master-page is the same, only if I want to add a new page, I have to add one more button on it to include the new content.
Is this idea wrong?

Thomas, you didn't understand the usage of master-pages; a master-page is a container for the pages of your site, not a page usable stand-alone.
In order to link two pages act in this way:
1- add the two pages to a project
2- from a widget (button, image, piece of text, aetc...) choose "Link" and setup the link |
