Posted - 21 Jan 2011 : 18:37:36 I have a link that I covered with a hotspot, intending to disable it until I get the page built. It appears to be transparent, in that it allows the link to work!
How do I make it so the link is not active, using the hotspot? |

Posted - 26 Jan 2011 : 19:17:43 Thanks... they already knocked themselves out of the running.. they don't have Tomcat for web services..
Looks like I'm stuck at $20 U.S. per month on a VPS so I can get it.
Any other ideas? |

Posted - 26 Jan 2011 : 16:24:48 aside from disliking hosts with unlimited everything [which you will never come close to needing] I hate to over pay. I also believe there are consequences to hosting multiple domains on the same account using subfolders. [ask bluehost if there are any] It is also 5x the cost of stable [forever] and hawk for the first yr.and then double the cost.
If you plan on using it for multiple domains make sure it will work--any ecommerce that requires a dedicated ip is no good.
I do not know about their support but both the ones I mentioned are ON IT NOW when you have ANY prob.It is very fast and I treasure that.
I did confuse bluehost with bluevoda [the one I meant to mention] who used to use a sitebuilder that looked like dhe reincarnated. It may still be there. It used to have bad reviews may be different now.
http://www.webhostingtalk.com is where you want to ask questions and look for hosting imo.

Posted - 22 Jan 2011 : 11:48:40 I use the same technique sometimes. I tried to reproduce your problem, but in my testcase the hotspot is doing exactly what it should do; disabling the link. Are you sure your hotspot is above the link? |
