Posted - 01 Feb 2010 : 15:21:48 I am a new user of the Dynamic Drive Editor and absolutely love it.
However, when I create a new page I notice that the size of the DHE file seems to indicate that it actually has a copy of the images I have put on the page embeded in the file.
Is there a setting that I can check so that only the reference to the file is in the DHE file. As this is obviously doubling my space being used on my hard drive
Thanks to anyone who can help

Dynamic HTML Editor always maintain a copy of files that you import into your pages so you can move a .dhe file from a PC to the other without any problem; all references are maintained.
If you choose to not export but "only link" an image; the program will link the passed image bit it will continue to maintain a copy of it into its file. |

So, this has nothing to do with the size of the DHE file I think. |

Posted - 01 Feb 2010 : 19:04:07 double click the image under export options choose 'only link (no export)'
But... 1 Terrabyte is ?100 :) |
