I am finding the way that DHE handles link styling to be a problem at the moment. I am sure this was not how it used to be, but the new DHE seems to automatically apply a link style whenever a link is defined without asking permission. Links are automatically coloured according to the defined page settings (that is ok I guess) but the worst thing is that links are then automatically underlined as well. I can then re-style the text - removing underlines, changing other font characteristics, but if I need to edit the link (change the page it points to or make it open in a new window) DHE then goes and re-styles my link and I have to re-apply the styles I want. Aaagggghh!
My usual link styling is to have the following css:
a {color:MyLinkColor;text-decoration:none;font-weight:bold;}
a:hover {color:MyHoverColor;text-decoration:underline;}
It is so fussy and time consuming to create links with this kind of styling in DHE at the moment for the reasons I describe above. If only DHE could allow me to create some basic css styles (e.g. for links and standard text) and for these to be applied automatically when creating links and text boxes. - or just leave my link styling to me with my own css in the page header or linked css file.
I still love DHE - these ideas are to give feedback on what works and what does not work so well.

You are right, I didn't like that method since I created it but in the past this was the only way that worked in all browsers.
Probably now it's time to change it in the right way ;-)

Brilliant - I did not see that!
I of course know you can create over styles - but lets be honest - this is a rather crude system compared to elegant css.

In the text-editor you can choose to use or not use the linkstyle.

In the same dropdown menu you can choose Over Style. Here you can define your own linkstyles.
