Hi,
I just changed my simple site www.stroke2stroke.co.uk from a single page to a couple using a masterpage. Trouble is that each time you click a link you get a "flash" as the new page loads, first giving a white background then the yellow its supposed to be. This isnt very pleasing on the eye. What am I doing wrong? Is it how I have referenced the masterpage?

Thanks

Andy

I didn't understand the problem.
If you want, send me the project with a page that behaves in the old bad way and I'll check the problem.

Right,

It seems that each page has to go off the botton of my screen and then they all act the same. How strange but at least I know what to do now, but would like to understand why this happens.

Hi,

I have narrowed it down to this. It seems that the text box has to be a certain lenght to stop it jumping around. As yet I havnt done the trial and error to work out what length it is or why.

Thanks Davide.

Any ideas about the "moving pages? Its driving me mad. Have deleted the 2 offending pages and re typed, checked everything I can think off. Its only the 2 pages that move a bit to the right when clicked on and they shouldnt!

Cheers

Andy, you can do the thing you want by using some HTML and Javascript code.
In the place where the Picture is you can place a DIV extension element then in the onLoad event of every page you can assign a different image to that DIV.

Hi,

I seem unable to get rid of a couple of pages changing size "Areas Covered" and "Educational Clinics". The blue bars on the pages are to be hidden, I have checked that all pages are exactly same width and position, with same type face and sizes, and all boxes are position and size locked except the page place holder and the graphic round it. I have tried putting a hotspot at position O,O and a square there, but that didnt work either. Its not the pictures affecting it as it does the same whaterver pic is showing. Any ideas please??

Thanks

You could increase the size of the placeholder and put only the menu in the mainpage.
But that would give a problem with the header in your case

Toon,

thanks, that looks good to me. That might just do it..she does have some very definite ideas about how she wants some things though!!

Wonder why you cant have two place holders on a page. Would be more flexible??

Does it have to be a specific image for each page?
Or can it be a random image, because there are scripts that will show a random image.

Hi,

I have another one that would appreciate some help with. If you look at this test site www.equi-toothcare.co.uk/test the central area is a place holder. What my friend wants is the picture in the top right to change for each page. DHE doesnt allow another page place holder . Any suggestions please ( could put a slideshow, but that always reloads.

Cheers

You mean where the animation is?

I'm afraid there's nothing you can do about it.
The flash file has to reload each time you change the page.

Here it goes real fast so it's not annoying but I can see what you mean.

Maybe it's an idea to change the background colour of the movie?

Or... Use the movie on the intro page only and on the other page use an image.
