Hi,
I put a small swimming web site up a couple of weeks ago and dont seem to beable to get on the google index. I believe I have complied with all their rules, but just wondered if the problem is that I use one page, with several text layers on, that only show when the menu is clicked. It could be interpreted by the google spider as hidden text perhaps. Any ideas please. Site is www.christuckerswimmingschool.co.uk |

Hi Andy, You should submit your link on search engines. Like, google, yahoo and bing. Example:- https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/submit-url?pli=1

Phew. I did send a request via web master tools to them to resubmit the site. And I got it on google maps as well. Only thing is now that I have split it into pages, even though all link to a master page that is common to all (4) when you change page it appears to "jump". This is worse in google chrome, and OK in ie. Am I doing something wrong, or is there a way to stop this. I see in chrome you have no control on caching like you do in ie. I did check out the video joneq said. Its good sensible stuff but you do have to stomach a lot or american type hype. The comments make amusing reading. Presumably from employees or people with long brown tongues (to an english perspective) |

I see it's listed now if you do a search for the name -
"Chris Tucker Swimming School" as a matter of fact it's right at the top, if I could post an attachment here you could see it, I notice google picked up the old title tag.

The first one is for adwords and very good too--the rest of the videos are free[if you sigh up for their newsletter] and about the siteseer software that analyzes your site for seo--Watching the videos will be very informative even if you don't sign up for the newsletter..

My suggestion would be to possibly spice up your "Title Tag/s" and maybe have separate pages for the site, I don't think the title tag you have at the moment is relevant enough. Maybe as this, looking at your site - Chris Tucker Swimming Club UK | Swimming Lessons and Courses | Improving Children's Water Skills for Survival and Endurance. I notice Google likes the title tags of websites. (Swimming Lessons in Reading for Children from 3 years old) seems a bit unspecific as far as I feel. If you have separate pages, you can give each one a new "Title Tag" that is relevant to each page, my example above, you could possibly use for the index/home page. Then re-submit to Google. Just my thoughts.

A couple of weeks ago? That is way to soon to start worrying. It can sometimes take longer than that to get into Google. |

Have you submitted the site to google?
Nice site by the way! The only change I would make would be to add some white space above the header. |
