I am using the flash generic object to play a .swf file. If I make changes to the flash file (.swf), how do I get D.H.E to refresh the file on my website when I publish it?

Got it! but that also means you have to preserve the original name too...

Eh no... You have to put the updated file on your site and with doing so overwrite the old file.

So, don't let DHE publish the file but do it yourself and link to it in DHE.

Davide: OK, so then I assume D.H.E will copy the file to the proper directory? What if the file changes on my desktop? Will it recognize this and then copy the new version to the website?

Try to act as follows:
1- put the file on your site
2- create the generic object but choose "Link the File" and choose that file you just copied to your site
3- export and publish ;-)

Do you have the file on more than one page?

It's loaded on the site initially by D.H.E.; I think I have to delete the Flash object and put in a new one... but I haven't tried it... waiting for the definitive answer from Davide...

What I do is put the swf file on a site and embed it.
