Your welcome...I'm sure
It's fortunate I posted the link then. Now you can work towards that undergraduate in philosophy.

Oke, I've heard you.

yes that`s right and I need external code as David mentioned. I think I just keep it like this..

I see the issue in a different way, if you look at the scrolling text when the "mouse over" triggers it, and you "mouse over" again if you have not let the whole message scroll to completion, you end up where you were when you "moused out", I think bronee wants it possibly to start from the beginning of the scrolling text, if you were to mouse over again, instead of the intermittent point as I so mention above. (How can you reset the text to start fresh)?

It`s not the topic wether you like scrolling text, be more interested in giving advice to topic than allways manifest subjective point of view.

It looks like he wants to start the scrolling on the mouseover event.
That can't be done in DHE and you would have to use an external javascript.

But....

Scrolling text is a bit outdated to say the least ;-(

ps. If there was no one around the falling tree wouldn't make a sound.
Why would it?!

What do you mean?

Then I don't see or understand a problem...am I missing something?

Thats the inherent nature of that script.Try "onclick" or you might look around for any of the hundreds of scripts to do something similar.
As an example this is only one of hundreds of sites...

I waited until the page finished loading (more than 5 seconds), but still no scrolling....until I moused over.

bronee Posted - 09 Aug 2008 : 12:44:01
jtarin -> try to go to http://www.larsbronee.dk/forside.htm wait 5 seconds and hold mouse over picture...the scrooling text is started when you entered the page, not when mouse over! I want the text only to activate when mouse over,,

Joneq -> why?
