but why is the content of the html box not visible? If you set the html box as hidden, yes, the code will be not visible. But the problem will remain also if you use an H1 or H2 tags and set them hidden. |

Posted - 23 Feb 2010 : 13:00:22 btw,
please consider to improve the meta references as BG_07 requested especially the h1 and h2 references are really important. I removed the html boxes, just to be sure not ot get any penalties from Google!
Thanks! |

Posted - 23 Feb 2010 : 11:23:08 Hi Davide,
i inserted the html boxes as you supposed, but I wonder: since the content isn't visible, could this be a negative thing for my website? With this I mean that Google might not like "hidden content"
what do you reckon? |

Posted - 18 Feb 2010 : 11:13:27 Hi Davide, Correct! Sorry about that. Suppose people need to take time understanding it.
Your website might look the best on the internet, but if no one finds you, there is little point! |

Dynamic HTML Editor already permits you to create such info in the correct position (since the version 1.0 ;-)); just look in the Page Properties. |

Posted - 09 Feb 2010 : 11:40:12 Hi Davide,
I'd love to help, however, I do not know enough of how DHE generates the code for websites. I can explain H1 and H2 in more detail with an example and perhaps this will help you to implement an extension. Please forgive me if parts of this sound patronising; but as I don't know you it is hard to write in relation to what you might already know. Also if anyone new sees this, I hope it will provide a somewhat comprehensive commentary.
The example I'll use is from a corporate website I own, which is designed by someone for me using basic HTML and some javascript in relation to a CSS Style Sheet.
Go to http://www.jurang.co.uk/fair-trade-wholesale-coffee-beans-supplies.html and right-click to view the source code - scroll down through the code until you get to: <div class="col-1">
You'll then see <h1>BLABLABLA</h1> and if you look at the actual page you'll see that this H1 text is visible and in fact makes up the first header on this page. This is followed by the actual content and then the next Hx which is a H2, which again is visible. Content follows and then again further down there is more H2 tags with headers in and they are all visible.
Important to note here is that Hx tags are all playing an active part on the page- ie. they are not hidden and do not serve a obscure purpose which could be seen a dubious by the Google spiders; rather they are on the page as legitimate ways of identifying headers, which serves a visual purpose to the visitors and a technical/SEO purpose for Search Engines.
The visual properties of the Hx tags are determined in CSS.
PLEASE NOTE: A page can only have one H1 and further Hx need to be H2 or even H3/H4/H5 dependent on the size of your content.
With regards to DHE, it would probably be a good idea to allow text/content boxes to be created which ask the user to specify a heading, which DHE translates into Hx tags and which it puts in the correct position within the code.
Equally as important is the presence of the three main META attributes; this is also something you could improve in DHE I think by giving people the ability to put these in and have DHE generate these at the correct place in the code. Any website which wants to be seen by Google as having importance needs:
<meta name="title" content="KEYWORD RICH TITLE GOES HERE" /> <meta name="description" content="KEYWORD RICH DESCRIPTION GOES HERE" /> <meta name="keywords" content="INDIVIDUAL KEYWORDS GO HERE, COMMA SEPERATED - USE GOOGLE ADWORDS KEYWORD TOOL FOR KEYWORD IDEAS" /> Finally the Robots META tells spiders what to do with the content: <meta name="robots" content="INDEX, FOLLOW" />
Hope that helps!

Posted - 09 Feb 2010 : 11:36:56 btw, can I choose where the html reference will be placed in the source code? Now they are placed randomly at the end of the source code, but i believe Google requires the h1 and h2 references should have a direct relevance to the text on my page. Do you know more about this?
maybe I should use the coding section of the page preferences in stead? In that case, where should I place the code (top code, bottom code, etc) |

Posted - 09 Feb 2010 : 10:04:21 Hi dave,
Thanks, I added the boxes and chose to hide the content on the site. I can't make them visible as I can't define the lettertype, color, size, etc.
One question though: will Google accept thexe boxes as valid hi-h2 documentation, since the content isn't visible?
I heard some rumors that Google wouldn't accept such html references when they are not visible?
Thanks! |

Posted - 04 Feb 2010 : 09:16:24 @gerwinquak
actually you need to: 1- draw an HTML box on your page 2- write <H1> or <H2> tags into it like:
<h1>Hello, this is my iste ;-)</h1>
@BG_07
Have you any suggestions for me? How do you implement the management of H1 and H2 and Hx tags? I could implement a simple extension for this ;-) |
BG_07 |
Posted - 03 Feb 2010 : 13:05:42 H1 and H2 (and so forth) tags are of key importance; they are not necessarily hidden (as claimed elsewhere) and if done right Google will attribute importance to them and improve your SEO and subsequently your page rank. DHE is great for making things look good, however, SEO functionality could be improved - can I suggest you would include more SEO focused tools in new version Davide? |

Posted - 03 Feb 2010 : 12:32:22 Hi Davide,
How can you input a html box in order to documentate h1 and h2? Can you explain how to get this done and where the html box should be inserted? |

Posted - 27 Jan 2008 : 13:13:47 Hello,
Although I can not good English, but still try to look at this question. Detects and generates the new version of DHE editor also automatically header DAY headlines like him search engine ranking for the placement? It could be the DHE-EDitor according to the text position or the font size to the rest of the text or to label the remaining modules. Example like: <h1> Headlines levels 1 </ h1> <h2> Headlines levels 2 </ h2> <h3> Headlines levels 3 </ h3> <h4> Headlines levels 4 </ h4> <h5> Headlines levels 5 </ h5> <h6> Headlines levels 6 </ h6>
Best Regards
