Posted - 22 Oct 2007 : 13:59:03 Hi there Im i the process of designing quite a large collection of photographs and articles for an organisation and by using D.H.E. 3 and a script the nuts and bolts of what I want to achieve is there.
What I need though is a way to navigate from one page to another for example a text box where the user could input a number and it would go to that page in the website. Or a page slider that could be dragged to that page?
Is this possible using D.H.E.??
Any comments or solutions would be much appreciated.
I know this can be done in flash but was wondering whether it could be achieved using D.H.E. and CSS or....
Ive got a couple pages up and running at ......

Posted - 24 Oct 2007 : 15:19:44 Again many thanks for the replies, much appreciated.
Edigitial thanks for the Adobe Spry information, had not heard of that before it looks very promising, also thanks for the www.luisguillermovallejo.com link what a great site. Shows what is possible.
The images I am working with are huge (like 4000 * 6000) so the use of a magnifier was essential but I will see what spry has to offer in the way of navigational assistance.
Thanks again both. |

Posted - 24 Oct 2007 : 12:07:41 Hi Dav's
I suggest to use Adobe's spry. It's free and have a lot of functions. Yo can use with D.H.E. editor (like in www.luisguillermovallejo.com)
Here the sample link for a photo gallery
http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/spry/demos/gallery_pe/dynamic/index.html
Just download, configure and play
Best regards!

Posted - 23 Oct 2007 : 14:48:40 Yes it is possible but not simple; you should make a form with input fields and create a server side page (.aso or .php) that manages the data and redirect the browser. I suggest you to make this thing using Flash. |
