Hi Everyone,

As you can see from this little site I am trying to give my friends and family a taste of my holiday apartment in Alcudia, Spain.
The problem I am having is the calendar page. I have painfully constructed a calendar and now face the problem of load times. I realise that I could save a little bandwidth by renaming the larger graphics to the same file name, as I have done with the 3 day states (un-booked, booked, change over). The page needs to be very easily changed so that I can keep it upto date as it becomes booked. In the bottom left hand corner of DHE 3.3.23 there is a box that says "Render Time" but I am unable to work out how to get it to show render times for the whole page or find any reference in the Help.
Can someone give me some guidance on producing a more efficient calendar page

The "Render Time" is simply the time your PC needs in order to display the page content into the Dynamic HTML Editor.
Nothing to do with the Exported HTML Page ;-)

Cheers Davide, You are correct I cannot run Server Side Apps. I have changed the page as you suggested and the improvement is fantastic. On a side note, can you explain the render time feature and its use.
Thanks Simon

I think Cube3 hasn't problems with "server side code" so we may try to give him some suggestions in order to create a simple page.
I agree with all of you, a dynamic calendar would be better if you know php or asp script ;-)

My suggestion is the follow:

You can merge every month images in one image by selecting "Merge Selected Images" from the Tools menu so your page will have 12 images instead of 200+. Then when you need to change the image simply use the "Divide Image" ;-)

I also found this:

It was just a thought. You may want to continue on the same path. It just appeared to me that there may be a quicker way for you.

Here you can find loads of free and commercial calendar scripts.

Thanks Richinri, I am very new to this and would not know where to start with PHP. Could point me in the direction?

I couldn't help but wonder why you aren't using some of the free PHP calendar programs available? It could make your job MUCH easier.
