Posted - 16 Dec 2011 : 11:18:29 Hello,
I was searching for a program to monitor my CPU, memory and disk in small graphs and I found Performance Monitor. It's exactly what I was looking for.
Unfortunately I encountered a problem with the CPU and disk graphs on my computer. (Windows 7 SP1 64 Bit, Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU, M560 @ 2.67GHz 2.67GHz)
These are the errors I get when starting Performance Monitor 4.0.41: Error loading performance counter named \'Processor(_Total)\% Privileged Time'; The error was: No Object - No Object Disable it?
Error loading performance counter named \'PhysicalDisk(_Total)\% Disk Read Time'; The error was: No Object - No Object Do you want to try to monitor only the first Disk?
Error loading performance counter named \'PhysicalDisk(_Total)\% Disk Read Time'; The error was: No Object - No Object Disable it?
If I don't disable the monitors, the graph just stays empty.
Note: I used the zipped version, I didn't install Performance Monitor.
Hopefully these problems can be fixed.
Kind regards, Maverick |

Posted - 22 Apr 2012 : 17:24:27 I am running PerfMon40 with Win7 Pro 64bit. CPU0-2 do not show, but CPU3-7 do show. Memory does not show. Disk Usage shows just one cell. Net usage shows two. All "Show separate graphs" are checked. I have uninstalled and re-installed = no change. Settings seem to survive the uninstall. |

quite strange, I have used my program for 10 years with different systems without problems (in English and Italian languages). I suppose something changed in your Performance Counter "psapi.dll" |

Posted - 30 Jan 2012 : 21:25:25 Hello.
I've been using PerfMon for about 2 years now. I loved it eversince I found it. The problem I have is that, despite I have not made any significant change to my OS, I get the same error as Maverick does. Everytime PerfMon starts, it signalizes an error when trying to acces CPU, and hard drive information. I still can see Ram info, but having the visual display for the CPU is very handy.
I was running version 3.9 and trie updating to 4.0... the same problem remained.
My OS is in spanish and I did updated either the program nor the Os version, so I ignore the reason for this to happen.
So I'm wondering if the problem is the OS or if I changed anything in the configuration. Thank you so much for your time and help.

Posted - 19 Dec 2011 : 13:49:06 I think the problem is related to the string used to read the Performance data that is in English. I have the same PC, I'll check changing the language to Netherlands and let you know. |
