Hi there, I found that during analyzing my hdd c: for defragmentation s/w called "Smart Defrag" from IObit, the disk read systray graph is not running. Actually most of the time it's not running and show 0% on mouse hovering it. But there're lots of other software is doing minor things in the background, such as antivirus, patrolling security software, Ms SearchIndexer, etc. I have the other hdd measure software called DriveGleam which shows read status in busy state, and I'm using Vista builtin perfmon.msc to read the hdd graph which is working normally. Disk read and write state from Performance Monitor 4 seems malfunctioning, though the read systray graph sometimes runs for some software such as Outlook.

I'm also usign Vista in my Home PC and PerfMon seems to work perfectly. I suppose the problem is related to the language of your Windows installation. What language is your Windows? Simply english?
Maybe I can send you a debug version so we can try to discover the problem.
